Continued on north up the track. Sighted the flood waters in the plains to the side of the road for the first time about 80km south of Birdsville.

The best thing about the water crossing was the number of raptors circling above the water. There would have been about 10 or 20 of them and I think they were black kites but i'm not really good with raptors so I'm not too sure. Dale, you probably know what they are, so send me an email and let me know!

Well all of those flies from Mungerannie had hitched a ride with us because when I got out of the car to take a picture of the birds I was swamped. Bradley was wondering why I was out dancing with the camera. Anyway, I only managed to get the two very crap pictures below.
