5 Rue Duguay Trouin, Paris
Welcome to our appartment

6th July 2007 to 15th December 2007 - Our home in Paris
Well seeing as there has been a number of people asking about our appartment, I thought that I'd better pull my finger out and show you around.
This first photo is taken out on the road. As you can see new building (compared to the rest of the buildings around here) and it is the ugliest as well.
The opening at the bottom left of the picture is the entry for the garage under the building. Or shed is on the 2nd of 3 basement levels. In the middle of the building is the front door.
Here you are at the front door. The two windows directly above it are our place.
Once you're inside the first door, you have to find our button. 3rd row, 6th from the bottom. We can let you in the next door with our intercom buzzer.
Once you're in the foyer you turn left, the lift is on the right further down the hall.
In the lift, pay no attention to what the display says, press the first floor button and get out when the door opens. 99% of the time the display is saying you're on the wrong floor, but you get used to it really quickly.
Straight ahead is the door to the stairs, our place is on the left.
Welcome to our place, and come on in. Oh, mind the mess - the cleaner's a bit rusty... The doorway to the left goes to the kithen/lounge, straight ahead leads to the bedrooms.
From left to right. Bathroom, toilet, then the two bedrooms. The right corner out of sight is the second bathroom.
The first bathroom, it also doubles as a laundry.
Skipping the toilet, you've got the main bedroom.
The second bedroom (or Justin's bedroom while he's here).
This is the view from the bedroom window. The building at the end was built in the early 1900's. They definitely built better looking buildings then than they do now-a-days.
The second bathroom. Although, as we can see, it's been converted into the laundry drying room.
Well here we are. The lounge kitchen and meals area.
Katie's kitchen.
Another added bonus. Our balcony.
With a view onto a courtyard garden.
And finally a look back towards our appartment, from down in the courtyard.
Well that's a quick tour of our place here in Paris. A million times better than our last place in Angola.
But that wouldn't be hard!
If you want to know anything else, you can give me a call or you can come on over and have a look for yourselves. But don't all come at once!
