Late February 2005 - A little Paris, and then the snowman challenge
The weekend after Bec's birthday Ange and I went back to the market for more taste-tempting goodies, after which we went out for a delicious lunch at a French restaurant near Ange's house. The bottle of wine we shared at lunch spurred us on to bigger and better things, so we called up her friend David and met him at a bar down the road for another glass... Here are the fuzzy pictures we got the bar man to take.
After this we strolled up past Bastille to Shakespeare's Book Shop near Notre Dame. Not long after this David called it a night and went home. Ange and I powered on and we ended up meeting up with Ali and Sacha in a cafe near by. It was getting pretty late by this stage, so we headed for the train station and home for the night. On the way back we passed Notre Dame again and got a passer by to take this picture of us.
Here's a picture Ali took of Sacha earlier that day showing Notre Dame in the daylight.
The next Saturday at work our class got challenged to a snowman contest at lunchtime. Clearly a challenge we couldn't refuse! However we upped the ante and went with a snow lady instead. The following two movies show me under attack whilst rolling the snowball for her belly. The next movie shows us putting her belly in place.

Here's Elnur carefully shaping her breasts.
Reda's doing a bit of shoulder work, Ali's perfecting her buttocks and Guilherme's in the background collecting snowballs to defend her from the rogues.
Our masterpiece is complete. Reda's in the fore ground showing her off, and Stefano's to his right in the background valiantly defending her.
What a doll!
Unfortunately she soon came under heavy attack and we had to defend her vigilantly. Here are the guys from the class with snowballs in hand.
From there, things pretty much deteriorated into all out war.

In the meantime, one of the other classes was building their snowman in the opposite corner of the yard. They spent most of the time under heavy snowball crossfire.
Not long after they'd finished their snowman we lined up like Maori warriors and did a Kamikaze run straight at their snowman. We demolished it with a 7-man rugby tackle! That'll teach them for challenging us to a snowman contest!
There was a third and final class which entered the competition late. They built their snowman close behind our snow lady.
Sadly, our snow lady didn't make it through the day. The guy in the middle kicking at the snow is demolishing the last remains of our lost snow lady.
At the end of the frivolities our class got together for a photo.
